The results of the 202 “Pet Pals Costume Contest” are in. After the usual last minute frenzied voting, Natsu Dragnet grabbed 1st prize as “Cutest Costumed Pet Pal“. Johnny nabbed the second place, and Sunshine was the third place winner. All pets receiving 50 or more votes were entered in a raffle to have their portrait painted. Congratulations to Bernie for winning the portrait raffle. Photos of the top three finishers are featured on the label of a special brew by Combustion Brewery and Taproom in Clintonville. Pets placing #4-10 also have their photos on the can. Tweet pets competed with nearly 3000 total votes being cast. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Kiwanis Foundation of Northern Columbus to promote youth literacy and education, such as scholarships, book giveaways, and other projects supporting children’s causes. Natsu was rescued from a neglect situation at 4 months old. He’s now 1 1/2 years old and living his best life!
Johnny enjoys taking naps. But he does not enjoy dressing up or anything he believes will inconvenience him in any way.
Sunshine is from West Virginia and was rescued in 2020. She is the sweetest girl in the world and loves her friends and sitting in her hammock!
Bernie found us through RESCUEDOhio. He is an explorer who loves food, walks, belly rubs, and car rides. Thanks to everone who voted for him
