Key Club

Northern Kiwanis is proud to sponsor a Key Club at Whetstone High School. We support Key Club service projects and facilitate the Key Club meetings. The young men and women in the Key Club participate in numerous volunteer projects, learn leadership skills, and have fun. Key Club members also volunteer alongside Northern Kiwanis members at fundraisers and service projects. The Whetstone Key Club is one of thousands of clubs, with over 200,000 members, sponsored by Key Club International . Here are a few of the volunteer activities in which the Whetstone Key Club members participate:

• Whetstone HS Homecoming Festival
• Pumpkin patch at Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center
• Pumpkin Giveaway benefitting NSI Food Pantry
• Prepare and serve meals at Ronald McDonald House
• Food packaging to send to the African country of Lesotho
• Northern Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt at Whetstone Park
• Northern Kiwanis Pancake Breakfasts
• Northern Kiwanis Fish Fry
• Collect books for book fairs
• Book fairs at Como, Colerain, Indian Springs, and Clinton Elementary Schools
• Breakfast with Santa at Clintonville Woman’s Club
• Ohio House Rabbit Rescue
• Special Needs Fall Dance and Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Civitan Club of North Columbus
• Tree planting with Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed
• Food drive
• Clothing drive
