The mission of the Northern Columbus Kiwanis Club: We are an organization dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. In the process we also help families. We are proud to assist other vital organizations, some of which are listed below. If you are looking for ways to serve your community as a volunteer, please Contact Us. We need you. More importantly, the kids need you.
Clintonville-Beechwold Resources Center Pumpkin Patch. The Pumpkin Patch features apple cider, food, games, pumpkin painting, a bake sale, and more. Donate three cans of food and get a free pumpkin. To support and help the CRC raise funds, our members grill hot dogs and brats. Everyone has a great time at this event.
NNEMAP Food Pantry, a non-profit organization which operates for the benefit of people in need of food and other assistance, serves customers throughout Columbus. Kiwanis members volunteer at NNEMAP to help package groceries and personal items for the customers.
Special Olympics Ohio provides competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Kiwanis members provide a way for the athletes and their families to have fun while not competing.
Leadership Worthington offers a leadership program for adults and a youth program to prepare leaders for tomorrow. Kiwanis members prepare a pancake breakfast for the Service Day when volunteers gather to complete community projects.
Food packaging. Once per year Kiwanians team up with Whetstone Key Club students to package nutritious meals to send to send to the African country of Lesotho.
Wow! What a fabulous time at the Northern Kiwanis Fish Fry last night. Delicious fish and side dishes. Whetstone Key club members helped serve and sold cookies. Books and prizes for kids. A very happy 50/50 raffle winner. And….terrific entertainment by the Red Shed Octet jazz musicians from Whetstone HS and CAHS. Ohio Kiwanis Governor Jason Miller (green shirt) drove from Bowling Green to enjoy the meal. Everyone had a good old time. Thanks so much for your support. See you there next year. #KidsNeedKiwanis#KiwanisNeedsYou. ... See MoreSee Less
